Situated on the borders of Cheshire, Staffordshire & Derbyshire, Anroach Clinic offers high quality private health
care in the form of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture. However, here
the focus is always on the individual and we all have different
needs. Whilst our patients may only require acupuncture some may
find it helpful to use the skills of our other therapists. All the
practitioners at Anroach Clinic are graduates of recognised training
establishments, and are affiliated to regulatory bodies who establish
codes of ethics and practice for their members. The practitioners
who work from the clinic are dedicated to their practices, and facilitating
changes in those who come to us for help.
At Anroach Clinic we offer a unique opportunity for our patients
to leave behind the stresses of their every day lives, and so restore
and support their own natural balance. The clinic is set on a 45
acre estate high in the Peak District National Park. The Peak District
has for centuries been viewed as a ‘green lung’ for
the surrounding areas, and as practitioners we recognize the very
real value of practicing our skills within this magnificent setting.
The 45 acres surrounding the clinic are gradually being turned
into a haven for wildlife with advice from both English Nature and
local farmers and landowners. It is our hope that we will be able
to open up the land, develop walkways and observation points for
our patients’ enjoyment.
‘The farm supports a wonderful mosaic of upland vegetation
types, including acid grassland with heather and bilberry on the
rocky outcrops, cotton grass and bilberry dominated swards and the
wetter peat running down into rush dominated wet swards. These rushy
swards support a wide range of plants including ragged robin, devil’s
bit scabious, marsh marigold, common sedge and bottle sedge. The
farm also has the potential to provide good breeding habitats for
waders such as curlew snipe and lapwing ring ouzel and wheat ear’
(English Nature 2003).
